Challenger Lifts, Inc., the largest privately owned manufacturer of automotive hydraulic lifts in the U.S. Milo established Quality Lifts, an Internet import lift company.
Ayrshire Electronics, an electronic contract manufacturing service company. Ayrshire Electronics has been shaped through Mr. Bryant’s purchases of CDR (1997), the electronics division of Baldwin Piano and Organ (2001), Tri-County Assembly (2004) and the electronics assembly operation of British Telecom (2005).
Milo D. Bryant began his career with Brandeis Machinery and through his twenty years of association rose to the position of Executive Vice-President and General Manager. Milo D. Bryant left Brandeis to launch his first business – Bryant Equipment – selling coal mining and heavy construction equipment.
He has, over the years, been involved in the ownership of several businesses. Ownerships include; AdChris Coal with a mine in Alabama and M & D Mining with mines in West Virginia and Kentucky. He also built Ashland Materials – a large coal processing plant on the Big Sandy River along with being a partner in developing Coal Liquid Technology.
Milo D. Bryant was appointed by the governor of Kentucky to serve as Secretary of Transportation and Commissioner of Highways in 1988. His accomplishments were many and benefited all citizens of the Commonwealth. Secretary Bryant became a national leader as Chairman of the Governor’s Task Force on School Bus Safety. Most states today have adopted the standards, training and safety features which were implemented under his leadership.
